Activism / recognition
The Student Union believes in giving recognition to activism at the University of Twente, both financially (graduation months) and intrinsically (activism recognition). The activism recognition allows students to prove that they have committed at least 40 weeks to their student association.
The physical recognition consists of a certificate awarded by the board of governors. The certificate includes your name, the association whose board or committee you participated in and a short description of the activism recognition. The certificate is signed by the Vice-Chancellor and the representative of the Student Union’s Academic forming portfolio.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for activism recognition you have to meet the following criteria:
- You have to be enrolled at the University of Twente as a Student;
- The student organisation in which you were active must be associated with the University of Twente. Note: the organisation doesn’t need to be Union recognized;
- You must have been involved with a board or committee for at least 40 weeks;
- Your function in that board or committee required at least 30 hours a week, for a minimum of 40 weeks a year;
- You must write a report that meets the stated criteria;
- You must hand in your report on time (within 3 months after finishing your activism year);
- You have not previously received this activism recognition.
