Rooms in Hengelo
Although most of the students from the University and the Hogeschool live in Enschede, many choose to live in Hengelo. You can bike to the campus in about 20 minutes, and to the Centrum of Enschede in 30 minutes. If you like to go out with your classmates, you may find quickly that the distance is disadvantageous. However, Hengelo does have numerous places to go out which students frequent.
Very few students live in Hengelo, despite the housing being cheaper on average. The distance to the University is roughly the same, meaning it will take approximately 15 minutes by bike. The centrum is frequented much less by students.
