This month a new car!

This month a new car!

The car of Drive CarSharing that normally stands at the Bastille is gone at the moment, but will be replaced this month for a new one! Drive CarSharing provides short-term car rental for students. The car is ready to go and parked in the Bastille’s parking space. So this is ideal when you need a car for a quick pick-up in town or when you need to head to the west and public transport is down again. More information you can find here.

SOFA

On May 31st, the SOFA will take place, the day where active students of the University of Twente are going to organize a cool day for students. The kickoff of this day will be around 13.00 hrs with a fun and sportive competition (in Dutch: zeskamp) where you with your own team can battle other students. You can chill in the breaks at lounges while you enjoy the best students acts at the culture stage. The day will be concluded with an exclusive party at the Oude Markt and the Pakkerij with for example a silent disco and various performances. Lawn in the Pakkerij? Nothing is too crazy!

Bastille: student building

Bastille: student building

The Bastille must remain a student building, that is the conclusion of the Student Union. A lot of rooms are empty in the building, but the Student Union has some good ideas about the new tenants. For example, the Solar Team or the Study Information Centre. The Student Union has written a proposal about these and other ideas and has sent it to the Executive Board. Soon, they will decide together about the exact aims for the Bastille in the upcoming years.

Opening hours Wallstreet resumed

After the two-week exam period, Wallstreet is open at the normal opening hours again: from Monday till Friday from 09.00 till 17.30 hrs. Consider studying at Wallstreet on the Walstraat 47 in Enschede!

Theme Kick-In 2012: Looking Forward

The theme of the Kick-In 2012 was presented yesterday in a very special way. Programs like So You Think You Can Dance came along and were a great success. The theme changed from Looking for Bart into Looking Forward: the theme of the Kick-In 2012. That it might be again a good one this year!
