Student Union and Vrumona Partnership

Vrumona is the soft drink producer that owns brands such as Sisi, Sourcy and Xi and holds licenses of Pepsi, 7UP en Rivella and more. Vrumona was set up in 1945 and is located in Bunnik. The annual production of Vrumona with its 500 employees is over 300 million litres. With its wide range of innovative soft drinks and large diversity of packaging material Vrumona would like to act to trends such as:

  • Low Calorie: health and enjoyment,
  • Meal supplement: nourishing and easy,
  • Relaxing drinks: de-stressing and relaxing,
  • Stimulating drinks: energizing sport and nightlife.

Partnership interpretation

The partnership has created added value for both Vrumona and the Student Union and with it al the University of Twente’s student organisations. In 2009 the partnership was prolonged for at least 5 years. The following agreements (and more) make up the partnership:

  • The Pepsi sponsor fund, Union participants can request funding from this fund.
  • Hectolitre discount on Vrumona products, also see ‘advantage for students’.
  • Equipment (fridges and soft drink vending machines) can be borrowed from Vrumona.
  • Annual budget for promotional clothing, glasses, etc.
  • Vrumona is sponsor of the Student Union’s IK (Introduction Committee).
  • Vrumona annually offers an internship to a student of the University of Twente.
  • Support in-kind at various events (chilled buffets, fridges, parasols etc).
