Student organisation rooms

To keep rental prices low special agreements have been made with the ISS cleaning company on cleaning the rooms that are rented by student organisations. These can be found below.

What is your responsibility?

Daily cleaning and dusting of the rooms and their furniture. Cleaning equipment (brush and pan, vacuum cleaner, cloths etc.) are available in the various cleaning cupboards. The key can be obtained from the caretaker. Cleaning products are not provided and have to be purchased.

What does the cleaning company do?

  • Floors are swept and stains are removed once a week on Monday or Tuesday. If the floors are covered by carpet they will be vacuumed.
  • A thorough cleaning takes place once every four weeks: desks, tables, chairs, windowsills, cupboards, dustbins, edges, boards, doors, lamps, radiators, etc. are wiped down and cleaned. Cobwebs are removed, fingerprints on doors and glass are wiped away and the floors are mopped down. This will take place in the weeks shown in the schedule below.
  • The floor is waxed and the separation glass will be cleaned twice a year. The dates on which this will happen will be announced far in advance.

Attention!

The cleaning company’s employees may not move anything. If any objects are in their way they will not clean the places they can’t reach.

Other rooms

Public rooms, the rooms rented by UT services or external parties, the UnionBar and the UnionShop are cleaned according to the normal cleaning contract that applies to the entire UT. This is a result driven contract.

An external company checks four times a year if the hygienic standards are met.
