Bastille

The Bastille, located in the middle of campus, is the University of Twente’s main student building. The building is used by students for both productive and recreational purposes.

The building houses more than 20 student organisations, student entrepreneurs, UT services (such as the student service centre, student guidance and the International Office), shops (Broekhuis bookshop, the UnionShop, Xerox Service Centre), catering establishments (VestingBar, Pub ‘de Stek’ and the student restaurant). There are also rooms that can be reserved for meetings or to watch a movie.

The Bastille is also a suitable location for (large) parties and events that can take place in the Atrium, the multi room in the Bastille.

- Business days: 8am-midnight.
- Saturday and Sunday: noon-6pm.
- Alternate opening hours during holidays.
